Happy Wednesday!

Hi!

I'm resending this newsletter with tracking turned off as that seems to have created a problem with the links. They should work now, but please let me know if they don't.

Blessings, Elle

Hope you're doing well and staying cool this week.

Things here are good. Joe took me out for dinner on Friday night and milkshakes on Monday. I'm grateful to have a few soy-free options (I'm allergic), so I can go on dates with my husband.

Our niece, Lily, is planning to visit this coming Sunday on her way back to Ohio, so please pray for safe travels for her and her boyfriend.

If you'll reply and share your prayer requests, I'd be honored to pray for you, as always.

It's been brought to my attention that some readers are having trouble opening the links in my emails. If that happens to you, there are a couple of things you can do. The first is to whitelist my emails, so your email provider knows that my emails aren't spam. To do that, just add elleekay@email.elleekay.com to your address book.

If that doesn't work, you can access my newsletter in your web browser by going to my website—you may want to bookmark the link so you can access it anytime you want.

FROM MY WRITING DESK

Everything is ramping up for Christmas in July, so this newsletter is packed to the brim with exciting announcements, but before we get to those… if you missed last week's release email, I'm excited to let you know that my latest novel Blast Radius released last Friday as part of the Critical Threat volume of the Honor Bound Hearts collection.

Heroes of Freedom Ridge fans—this one is for you. Tara Grace Ericson created a complete series collector's edition with gold foil and sprayed edges. This is a Kickstarter project with several possible levels of support, including early bird options, but you have to pledge your support in the first 72 hours for access to those.

Just so you know, Kickstarter may recommend other projects to you. We Freedom Ridge authors have no control over these recommendations, and they may contain content that isn’t family-friendly or doesn’t align with a biblical worldview. Use your own discretion navigating the platform.

Many of you may know my new assistant, Amanda Geaney. You can reach her at Amanda@ElleEKay.com if you'd like to welcome her aboard.

My former assistant, Crystal, has chosen to leave behind her career as a virtual assistant for other endeavors. One of which is her new Etsy shop filled with bookish and Christian content.  Isn't that exciting? I hope you'll check it out.

FARM NEWS

Farmer Joe spent Monday morning working on things around the barn. He cleaned out the front stall and added fresh hay, but he couldn't get the sheep to leave the middle stall without stressing the old girls out, so that one will have to wait. The third and final stall is the hay stall and that one is off-limits to the goats. Only the cat is allowed in there. It's where she gets fed.

The latest batch of little chickens moved out of the house yesterday. They seem quite happy with their new living arrangements.

As you can see from the YouTube thumbnail below, it's shedding season. Click below to see the massive amount of hair coming from our German Shepherd, Maddison.

LUANA EHRLICH

It was no ordinary robbery. The suspect is no ordinary thief. The investigator is no ordinary detective.

He’s Silas McKay, head of operations for Discreet Corporate Security Systems in Dallas, Texas.

Silas doesn’t usually investigate stolen merchandise, but when his boss asks him to look into a jewelry heist at Gadise Diamonds, a high-end store in the Dallas area, he makes an exception.

When Silas learns this was no ordinary robbery, and the suspect is no ordinary thief, he enlists the help of Ashley Davenport, who’s no ordinary woman.

It was no ordinary robbery . . .

It happened in broad daylight, no weapons were involved, and there were plenty of security cameras present.

The suspect is no ordinary thief . . .

He’s Todd Harriman, a billionaire’s son, who could afford to buy the entire jewelry store, so why would he devise an elaborate plan to steal merchandise from it?

Ashley is no ordinary woman . . .

She’s a wealthy socialite, about to start her own detective agency, and the last person Silas needs in his life right now, especially since he’s still angry at God for the loss of his wife, and Ashley doesn’t believe in God.

As Silas and Ashley work together to confront the guilty party, Silas must confront his feelings about Ashley as well as his anger toward God. Can Silas believe God wants the best for him? Can Ashley find the faith to believe? Can two believe?

Two Believe is an inspiring suspenseful read from USA Today bestselling author, Luana Ehrlich, and Book II in the Silas McKay Suspense Series, a character-driven, emotion-packed series featuring Silas McKay, a corporate security investigator who’s not afraid to take risks, but who’s a little skittish about making changes.
