It was a cold one this morning. I think it was 12° when I got up at 6:00 to let the dogs out. It may have soared to a balmy 14° by 7:45 when we went out to take care of morning chores. But I know many of you are dealing with some crazy weather, too. And whoa… how about the snow across the Midwest? Craziness.

I'm still in the trenches, working on my contribution for the anthology coming out in June. It's a labor of love. I don't think I realized how much additional research I'd need to do by choosing Air Force instead of Army and a base where my son has never been stationed, but I hope the story will be worth the extra effort. I have a couple of other projects awaiting my attention. I can hardly wait to return to the PA Parks prequel I've been working on (Grayson and Jenna's story), but I need to meet this deadline before I can get back to that one. And I've got a super-secret project in the works that must wait its turn. Think Pride and Prejudice, but with a mystery/suspense twist.

Yesterday, we released Taken but Not Forsaken: Love Held Hostage. It's sitting at #1 in Christian Anthologies and made it into the top 1,000 in the Kindle Store, so we owe a big thank you to all of you who preordered or downloaded on release day. Thank you so much. Your support means so much.

With the drop in temperature, we're back to busting ice in water buckets. Sadie seemed to go on a hunger strike for a few days there, but it must've been the warmer temperatures because she cleaned every kibble from her bowl last night. For this week's video, I thought you might enjoy the way the snow froze on the trees. It's actually quite pretty with the blue sky in the background. Cassie didn't like being outdone by the view, so she stepped into the video for a bit of attention.
