Hope you had a fantastic week. We got over an inch of much needed rain last night, so we can finally breathe easier knowing the well won't run dry. Let me know if you have a prayer request. I consider it a privilege to pray for you and with you.

It's been a busy week here on the farm. Sadie got herself in a tangle with a porcupine, so we needed to take her to get the quills removed. She had to take pain pills for a few days and she's still on an antibiotic, but she's doing better now. She's been scratching a lot though, so yesterday Farmer Joe gave her a bath which seems to have helped. Speaking of Farmer Joe, he went and picked up hay to get us through the winter, so we unloaded that into the barn (picture above). It practically climbs to the ceiling! Joe does most of the work. I just move the bales to where he can grab them easier. A mysterious puddle of blood appeared on the shelf above the water spout in the barn. We never did figure out who was bleeding, but the best guess is the older of the two roosters. He sleeps near where the blood was. Could've been one of the goats that like to lie up there, but I think we would've been able to spot some blood on them if that was the case. Hopefully, this coming week will be less eventful.

I've finished writing Clearing the Cowboy's Name and will send it off to the editor shortly. I still have quite a bit of work to do on Midnight Masquerade, which might seem backwards since it releases a couple weeks earlier. But since Clearing is part of a multi-author series, I wanted to make sure the other authors have enough time to read it and make any suggested changes to scenes where their characters are mentioned. I'd love prayer for a few incredibly productive days to help me complete Midnight Masquerade in time. Speaking of my books, I’ve had titles hit #1 in my categories plenty of times, and that’s always exciting, but this feels different. For the first time ever, one of my books, Wooing the Widower, has climbed into the top ten in the Kindle Store overall. Right now, it’s sitting at #6 in the Kindle Free Store! To put that in perspective, Amazon has somewhere between 10 and 20 million books available on Kindle. I don’t know how many of those are free—let’s say around 100,000 (though it’s probably a lot more than that). Somehow, in just a few days, this little book has risen to #6 out of all of them. Not in a niche Christian fiction category—but the entire Amazon store. If you haven't grabbed it yet, get your copy today before it goes back to regular price tomorrow.
