It's a brisk but sunny morning here. I'm sitting on the screen porch wrapped in a blanket and reflecting on the past few weeks and what they've meant for me individually and the church as a whole. It's nice to see so many growing bolder in their testimony. My white German Shepherd, Maddison was out here with me staring out the screen at the chickens, but when I tried to snap a picture to include here, she hid. Must be feeling camera-shy today. As always, please let me know if I can pray for you this week.

I'd like to thank everyone who sent condolences for our loss of Tom turkey last week. No sad news to report this week, thankfully. All is good on the farm. Acorns are continuing to fall, so that's keeping the goats, ducks, and deer happy. Hope you'll enjoy this sweet fawn video I took.

I got quite a bit of writing done this week, but I'm still behind. I do hope to get both Clearing the Cowboy's Name and Midnight Masquerade off to their respective editors by mid-month. As an interesting side note, if you've read my book, Grave Secrets, you might find the video clip below about Lake Jean (located in Ricketts Glen State Park) fascinating. It seems Lake Jean drains itself periodically, then refills for no apparent reason. I've seen it drained before, but didn't know there was some strange phenomenon causing it. You would think I would've heard of it being that I live a few minutes from the park, but I hadn't. God's creation can be a mystery sometimes.

Getting traded by the Denver Dragons wasn’t part of Justin Yate’s plan, but if it helps him forget about the woman he can never have, then so be it.

But sometimes your dreams go up in smoke, fitting since his entire life has been one big disappointment after another. Growing up poor as dirt, jumping from one foster family to another, didn’t exactly build his confidence.

When the news of his departure spreads, his beloved teammates throw him a going away party he won’t soon forget. After all, how could he forget watching the only woman he’s ever loved pretend like him leaving means nothing to her? Stefania DeLuca was born with a silver spoon in her mouth, but she’s busted her rear end to become a successful professional soccer player…much to her parents’ disappointment. They’d rather she get serious about taking over the family business, a string of professional dance studios, but Stevie has never been one to do what other people expect. Forging her own path has had its pitfalls and disappointments, causing her to guard her heart and pretend she doesn’t do that whole love thing.
But all it takes is one sheepish grin and a dance to turn her world upside down. When she finally meets a man who might break down her walls, she reinforces them. Then he leaves, taking her heart with him.
Left behind with nothing but guilt and disappointment, Stevie leaps at the opportunity to travel to Savannah to search for a new dance studio location for her parents. The only question is, will she finally settle down or will true love trigger this runaway all over again?
