Happy Wednesday!

Hello there,

Temperatures dropped here in North Central Pennsylvania and some much needed rain arrived this morning.

Hope all is well on your little corner of the Earth. Please reply to this message to let me know how I can pray for you this week.

One of my readers has asked me to increase the font size, so I made the text larger and switched to a serif font because it is supposed to be easier to read. If you have trouble reading my emails, please let me know, and I'll make more adjustments. I view my emails on a 17 inch computer screen, so the text looks enormous despite my own vision troubles.

FARM NEWS

Cassie cat didn't greet me at the gate this morning. She must not have wanted to get her whiskers wet in the rain. Speaking of the rain, we let Tom the turkey hang out inside today since he doesn't love the weather either. On the other hand, it is a beautiful day for ducks, so they're out exploring and splashing around.

Sadie was determined to get an extra cookie from me, and she won because I'm an old softie. Of course, I say I'm the softie, but Farmer Joe still brings her a piece of hotdog every morning even though he no longer has to hide an allergy pill in it.

As for the sheep, the old girls are doing better now that the weather is cooler.

FROM MY WRITING DESK

The dictation is going better than expected. I'm getting words down. Of course, I didn't expect to delete the first few chapters of my work-in-progress and start over, so that might be a setback, but at least the words are flowing.

Don't forget, I'll be in Springfield, Missouri for the ACFW conference, so if you're in the area, stop in for a book signing (see details in the image below).

Excerpt from
PERSUADED BY THE HERO

“Are you okay?”

He ignored her hand and pushed himself up from the floor, wiping cream filling from the seat of his pants as he stood.

A grin tugged at the corners of Gage’s mouth, at the raspberries stuck in her fancy updo, but he fought not to let his amusement show. He wouldn’t want her to think he was laughing at her. She released a full out belly laugh, and he chuckled.

“I assume you didn’t bring a spare suit.”

“No.” He kept a spare at the office for emergencies, but never dreamed he’d need one at a wedding reception.

Grabbing a handful of napkins, she swiped at his suit jacket. “I’m such a Klutz. I can’t believe myself sometimes.” He took the napkins from her and wiped the cream from his hands.
